Summer stroll at Paices Wood
West Berkshire Countryside Service staff are hugely knowledgeable about conservation, wildlife and in particular the countryside sites managed by West Berkshire District Council. Eash ranger invites you to accompany them for a seasonal walk to explore and learn about the countryside on your doorstep.
Paices Wood is a 35 hectare (86.5 acre) former gravel extraction site consisting of extensive woodland, grassland and several lakes located in a narrow valley just outside Aldermaston. The site's interesting background has created a diverse range of habitats: coppice woodland, wet woodland, an avenue of lakes, wildlife pond, ridge and furrow landscape and lapwing area.
Come and enjoy a relaxed stroll with ranger Sarah around Paices Wood Country Park to find out what this season brings.
This event is suitable for all ages.
£3.50 per person, booking essential.
